Public Information Update (COVID-19)

We would like to reassure all our customers that RiversMeet is remaining open.

We ask that customers utilise the antibacterial cleaning wipes and sprays in the gym to wipe down your station before and after use.

As per advice from PWTAG alongside HSE, it is safe to go swimming. To reduce this risk of infection we would ask customers to observe good hygiene practices by showering before using the pool, and to follow the necessary hygiene precautions when visiting public places.

In line with government guidance, RiversMeet have decided to take the following precautions from Thursday 19th March. These will be done in line with the principle of creating distance between users to keep our customers as safe as possible.

In order to safeguard the most vulnerable, the following activities have been cancelled:

·         All Super Senior, Zumba Gold, LBM and Group Training Classes are cancelled.

·         Soft Play will be closed.

·         No Children’s parties will take place up until the 17th May 2020 (Full refunds available).

·         RiversMeet Dance classes are cancelled.

·         Swimming Pool is closed for the foreseeable future.

·         Saturday’s Drop in Trampolining sessions have been cancelled. 

Changes to current offerings:

·         The Gym will have a maximum capacity of 30 people.

·         Exercise Classes that take place in Fernbrook will run at half capacity. (Aqua Fit will run at full capacity).

·         Group Cycling will run at half capacity.

·         Gymnastics/Trampolining will run as normal Social Distancing is highly recommended in high footfall areas.

Other Cancellations:

·         All Football Bookings in the Sports hall have been cancelled.

·         Any Sports Hall Bookings on Court 1 have been cancelled.

All of these changes have been made according to the current guidance and may be subject to further changes depending on government recommendations. As a community owned leisure centre, we will do our upmost best to maintain operations for as long as possible whilst also taking account safeguarding our members.
