Our Recreation Assistants have one of the most important jobs at our centre and that is to keep our customers safe throughout the centre. In addition to being a stickler for health and safety, as a Recreation Assistant, you will thoroughly clean assigned areas, set up and take down various activities and events. You will be required to work early, late and weekend shifts as part of this role on a rolling rota.

A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is essential for this role.

Part-Time Receptionist (Zero hours contract, casual cover)

The reception team is the first point of contact for our customers. They are integral to the presentation and success of RiversMeet. Our reception team act as the central communication link between all users of RiversMeet and the RiversMeet management team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Greeting all visitors to the centre, ensuring they are made welcome, ascertaining their requirements, and assisting them with general information.
  • Answering the telephone, emails, and using the booking system to ensure good customer care on all enquiries.
  • Being responsible for any necessary financial duties according to the Financial Procedures, such as, use POS system, cash handling and end-of-day banking.

Essential skills

  • Genuine interest in delivering excellent service
  • Fantastic telephone manner
  • Confidence to work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly organised with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to respond to emergency procedures

Preferred skills

  • Customer service experience
  • An understanding of Microsoft Office and Excel
