Personal Trainer Level 3 Apprenticeship

Start Date: August - September 2025              

Starting Hourly Rate - £7.55 per hour

30 hours per week until apprenticeship has been completed (minimum 6 hours off the job learning)

We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional person with good customer service skills who really enjoys being part of a team but are also comfortable working independently.

Can make good customer care decisions and who is passionate about health and fitness and can promoted the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Summary

As a Personal Trainer Level 3 Apprentice, you will be instrumental in supporting fitness programs and enhancing client experiences through effective teaching and sports coaching. Reporting to the Gym Manager, your role involves utilising your knowledge of anatomy to design engaging workouts and promote health and wellness. Strong communication and presentation skills will be essential as you interact with clients, ensuring their needs are met while delivering exceptional customer service. Qualifications Gained: Fitness Instructor Level 2 and Personal Trainer Level 3

Responsibilities

  • Assist in teaching fitness classes and helping clients on their fitness journey.
  • Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and provide feedback to enhance performance.
  • Develop personalised fitness plans based on individual needs and anatomical knowledge.
  • Maintain a welcoming environment through excellent customer service and communication skills.

Aqua Fit Instructor

Regular Classes available as well as class cover

Responsibilities include:

  • Playing a vital role in guiding clients towards their fitness goals while ensuring their safety and enjoyment during each session.
  • Leading group classes and providing high-quality instruction.
  • Creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for our customers.

Experience:

  • Previous experience as an instructor alongside a relevant qualification is required
  • Ability to effectively communicate and demonstrate exercises to clients of all fitness levels

Swimming Teacher

Regular classes, plus cover

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering lessons to suit each swimmer in the class
  • Ensuring safe provision and correct use of all equipment
  • Establishing and making sure that safety standards are followed in every lesson
  • Identifying participants’ abilities and encouraging them to reach their full potential
  • Providing explanations and demonstrating swimming techniques
  • Correcting faults in swimming techniques and identifying ways to improve performance

Essential skills

  • STA Award/Certificate OR ASA Level 2
  • Being a positive role model, creating a positive and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage children and adults to participate in swimming
  • Setting ground rules for each session
  • Evaluating sessions and giving constructive feedback
  • Regularly assessing each participant’s ability and progress
  • Confidence to work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly organised with the ability to multi-task
