Duty Manager - RiversMeet Active and RiversMeet Performance

Full Time: 37.5 hrs per week average
Rate of Pay: £26,793 per annum
Early/Late/Weekends: 4 week rolling rota (1 weekend in 4)

About Us

We are a busy, committed, fun loving, professional team dedicated to ensuring that our customers enjoy the very best experience from this community owned, Leisure Centre. As part of our DM Team, you will be involved in the day-to-day running of activities and ensuring the safe facilitation of a multitude of activities ranging from fitness classes to swimming lessons.

About you 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional person with good customer service skills who really enjoys being part of a team but are also comfortable working independently. Can make good customer care decisions, actively lead from the front and take ownership of this important role with confidence.

Essential: 2+ years’ experience in Leisure industry, NPLQ, First Aid at Work

Desirable: Level 2 Fitness instructor, PPO Qualification, 3+ years’ Leisure industry experience, Level 3 management qualification

Swimming Teacher

Regular classes, plus cover

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering lessons to suit each swimmer in the class
  • Ensuring safe provision and correct use of all equipment
  • Establishing and making sure that safety standards are followed in every lesson
  • Identifying participants’ abilities and encouraging them to reach their full potential
  • Providing explanations and demonstrating swimming techniques
  • Correcting faults in swimming techniques and identifying ways to improve performance

Essential skills

  • STA Baby and Preschool or STA Award/Certificate (ASA Level 2 also accepted)
  • Being a positive role model, creating a positive and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage children and adults to participate in swimming
  • Setting ground rules for each session
  • Evaluating sessions and giving constructive feedback
  • Regularly assessing each participant’s ability and progress
  • Confidence to work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly organised with the ability to multi-task

Aqua Fit Instructor

Regular Classes available as well as class cover

Responsibilities include:

  • Playing a vital role in guiding clients towards their fitness goals while ensuring their safety and enjoyment during each session.
  • Leading group classes and providing high-quality instruction.
  • Creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for our customers.

Experience:

  • Previous experience as an instructor alongside a relevant qualification is required
  • Ability to effectively communicate and demonstrate exercises to clients of all fitness levels

Rates of pay:

£21.63 per hour

Pilates & Yoga Instructor

Responsibilities include:

  • Playing a vital role in guiding clients towards their fitness goals while ensuring their safety and enjoyment during each session.
  • Leading group classes and providing high-quality instruction.
  • Creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for our customers.

Experience:

  • Previous experience as an instructor alongside a relevant qualification is required
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and how it relates to movement
  • Ability to effectively communicate and demonstrate exercises to clients of all fitness levels

Cafe Assistant

Part time: 15-25 hrs per week average
Rate of Pay: £8.00 - £12.71 per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday 1330, 1500 or 1530 start until 1830.

About you 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional person with good customer service skills who really enjoys being part of a team but are also comfortable working independently. Can make good customer care decisions. IT/Till Operating experience will be advantageous. 

Responsibilities include: 

· Greeting all visitors to the café, ensuring they are made welcome.

· Taking orders and preparing hot drinks. 

· Using the till system, cash handling and end-of-day banking.

· Day to day running and cleaning of the cafe to make sure food hygiene standards are kept.
