We are seeking responsible, dynamic people to be part of a brand new exciting venture in Gillingham. The new inflatable world is a community led venture that will cater for all ages and abilities.

The new team ideally would be people who love working in a very busy buzzing atmosphere where work is fun, not mundane. We are launching the New Inflatable world hopefully on the 2nd July 2022 but hoping to employ as of the 2nd week of June for staff training and pre-opening events.

The Roles will ensure that we successfully meet all of our customers’ requirements in a welcoming, fun but safe environment. From greeting the customers to feeding them and even helping them have fun is a pinnacle part of the new team’s ethics.

We are offering an array of roles where you design the sites future as it’s your business J

We envisage these role to be very much focused on building positive customer relations and ensuring our little customers come back for more.

Proposed Opening hours of the inflatable world:  9.30am – 19.00pm

Staff Rotas are based on all staff working one week end in two. Rotas have been produced for these roles and we are happy to share these via email if requested.

Ideally you would have:

  • Qualifications in Child Care / Catering / Reception Dependent on position applying for
  • DBS or CRB clearance required for Arena Managers and soft play staff only
  • Commitment and enthusiasm for  Child Based Activities
  • Experience of working with young children / Catering environment / Front of House Dependent on position applying for

Part-Time Café Assistant 14 hours per week

We are seeking a part time Café Assistant for the following shifts.

Saturday: 0900 to 1600
Sunday: 0900 to 1600

To start as soon as possible, with training during the easter half term if possible

Responsibilities include:

  • Greeting all visitors to the cafe, ensuring they are made welcome.
  • Taking orders and preparing hot drinks.
  • Using the till system, cash handling and end-of-day banking.
  • Day to day running and cleaning of the cafe to make sure food hygiene standards are kept.
  • Helping customer with any enquires.

Ideal candidate:

  • Will have some customer service skills.
  • Café or catering experience but not essential as full training will be given.

Duty Manager

£22,500.00
Full Time: 37.5 hrs per week average

We are a busy, committed, professional team dedicated to ensuring that our customers enjoy the very best experience from this community owned Leisure Centre. As part of our DM Team, you will be involved in the day-to-day running of activities and ensuring the safe facilitation of a multitude of activities ranging from fitness classes to swimming lessons.

About you

We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional person with good customer service skills who really enjoys being part of a team but are also comfortable working independently. Can make good customer care decisions, actively lead from the front and take ownership of this important role with confidence. Essential: National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, 2+ years’ experience in Leisure industry. Desirable: Level 2 industry specific qualification, 3+ years’ Leisure industry experience, Level 2 Fitness instructor, First Aid at Work, Pool Plant Operator, level 3 management qualification.

Salary up to £22,500 according to experience and qualifications based on an average of 37.5 hours weekly. Overtime hours paid at hourly rate in addition. As part of our Fitness Team, you will be involved in the day-to-day running of the Gym facilitating Inductions, classes, creating programs and maintaining gym cleanliness.

About you

We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional person with good customer service skills who really enjoys being part of a team but are also comfortable working independently. Can make good customer care decisions and who is passionate about health and fitness and can promoted the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Essential: Level 2 Fitness instructor, 2+ years’ Desirable: Level 3 Personal Training Qualification, Class instructor qualifications. National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, First Aid at Work.
